My pochoir print series is based on the 2010 film, How to Train Your Dragon. The film features vibrant environments and iconic creatures, so I aimed to capture that whimsy in my art. I experimented with negative and positive silhouettes, as well as the use of color. Through my experimentation, I discovered a method of layering negative stencils on top of one another to add texture. This method can be seen in the waves and clouds of my prints, creating a sense of depth.
